In February 2015, the Supreme Court of Canada prohibited medical assistance in dying. In June 2016, the Parliament of Canada passed federal legislation allowing eligible Canadian adults to request medical assistance in dying. And now, Government of Canada is seeking public consultation before it amends the federal medical assistance in dying legislation.
