Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are appealing for witnesses and assistance in identifying three suspects following an attempted carjacking in Richmond Hill late Tuesday night.
According to police, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m., the victim was driving a Porsche Panamera in the area of Hunters Point and Tiffany Gate. As the victim approached an intersection, a white sport utility vehicle (SUV) pulled up behind him. Two suspects exited the SUV, while a third suspect emerged from a nearby footpath and stood in front of the victim’s vehicle.
The suspects reportedly attempted to force their way into the Porsche and threatened the victim with a firearm. The victim was able to drive away safely and immediately contacted police.
All three suspects are described as Black males who were wearing face coverings at the time of the incident.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has surveillance or dashcam footage from the area, to contact the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 6630.
