Investigators with the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect following a break and enter in the City of Vaughan.
On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., the suspect forced entry into a place of worship located in the area of Bathurst Street and Lady Dolores Avenue. He remained inside the building for several hours, during which he caused damage to computers and an audio system. Before fleeing the scene, he stole cash, alcohol, and food. The suspect was last seen travelling southbound on Bathurst Street on a bicycle.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, with a thin build. He has dark, scruffy facial hair and medium-length dark hair. The individual is also noted to wear glasses.
At this stage of the investigation, police do not believe the offence was motivated by hate.
Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the suspect to come forward. Residents are urged to check surveillance footage from the time of the incident.
