Investigators with the York Regional Police Firearms Investigations Team are appealing to the public for information after a second shooting targeted the same residence in Richmond Hill within a three-month span.
Police say officers were called to reports of gunfire on Bryson Drive, near Carville Road and Bathurst Street, just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. When officers arrived, they found damage to a vehicle parked in the driveway of the home. A grey sport utility vehicle was seen leaving the area shortly after the shots were fired.
The incident follows a previous shooting at the same address in November 2025. In that case, investigators reported that a dark-coloured SUV was observed in the area before multiple rounds were fired at the residence and vehicles in the driveway.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Investigators are now working to determine whether the two shootings are connected. Police are asking residents and motorists in the area to review any home surveillance or dash-camera footage that may have captured activity on nearby roadways around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information who has not yet spoken with police is urged to contact the York Regional Police Firearms Investigations Team at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7817. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at 1800222tips.com.
