Woman in 30s seriously injured after being hit by vehicle in Scarborough

A woman was struck by a vehicle in Scarborough on Wednesday evening at approximately 7:48 p.m., leaving her seriously injured. 

Police say the collision occurred in the area of Pharmacy Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East. The injured woman was transported to hospital for treatment. 

Police say that the female pedestrian, believed to be in her 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene. 

A stretch of Pharmacy Avenue was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
