Investigators have arrested a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at a Vaughan commercial plaza earlier this year.

On January 26, 2026, at around 1 p.m., officers from the York Regional Police responded to reports of shots fired near Winges Road and Rowntree Dairy Road. A male victim was found outside a business with multiple gunshot wounds and later died in hospital.

Earlier this month, 19-year-old Jacob Wallace of Mississauga was arrested and charged in connection with the homicide.

On March 19, 2026, 19-year-old Isaiah Thomas Badger was located by the Calgary Police Service Fugitive Team. Badger faces charges of first-degree murder and arson causing damage to property.

York Regional Police acknowledged the support of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Toronto Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (E Division and K Division), Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Abbotsford, and Surrey police services in locating the suspect.

Authorities continue to investigate and encourage anyone with information to contact the York Regional Police Homicide Unit or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
