Two men killed in apparent targeted shooting in southeast Edmonton

Edmonton police are investigating an apparent targeted shooting that left two men dead in the city’s Silverberry neighbourhood early Friday morning. 

Edmonton Police Service said officers were called to the area of 32 Street and 26 Avenue at approximately 1:45 a.m. after reports of gunfire. Police say a house party was taking place at the time, with about a dozen people inside the home. 

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police have not officially confirmed the identities of the victims. However, information circulating on social media identifies the deceased as Ranveer Singh, 18, and Gurdeep Singh, 27.  

Investigators have not released details about a motive, and no arrests have been announced. Police believe the shooting was targeted and are searching for a dark-coloured SUV believed to be connected to the incident. 

Authorities are asking anyone who was in the areas of Silverberry Road and 23 Avenue, or 34 Street and 29 Street, and who may have dash-camera or security footage recorded between approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, and 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, to contact police immediately. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing and that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
