Two injured in two-vehicle collision in Mississauga; male driver arrested

Peel Regional Police say that two women were injured, one critically, following a two-vehicle collision in Mississauga on Monday evening. 

Police said in a post on X that the crash occurred at approximately 6:24 p.m. in the area of Mississauga Road and Beaverbrook Way. 

Both victims are females. One of them sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local trauma centre in critical condition. Other injured was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. 

Police have arrested a male driver. Authorities have not yet announced what charges, if any, he may face. The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation. 

As a result of the crash, Mississauga Road was closed between Beaverbrook Way and north of Sheridan Way and roads have since re-opened.
