Toronto police say two men have been arrested and charged following a firearm and drug investigation that led to search warrants in both Toronto and Mississauga.
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, officers with the Integrated Gun & Gang Task Force executed search warrants at two locations; one in the Lake Shore Boulevard East and Lower Jarvis Street area of Toronto, and another in the Tomken Road and Bloor Street area of Mississauga.
During the searches, officers allegedly seized a loaded firearm, quantities of cocaine and oxycodone, and more than $5,000 in Canadian currency.
Police have also released an image in connection with the investigation.
Mubarak Rirash, 37, of Mississauga, has been charged with multiple offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and possession for the purpose of trafficking a Schedule I substance.
Abadir Jimale, 41, of Toronto, has also been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a Schedule I substance, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
