Peel Regional Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a string of violent carjackings that took place in Mississauga over the course of one week.

The first incident occurred on September 27, 2025, when a woman was attacked while parking her 2011 Mitsubishi in a plaza near Erin Mills Parkway and Folkway Drive. Police say two suspects, both armed with knives, approached the victim, threw her to the ground, and punched her in the face before fleeing in her vehicle. The stolen car was recovered the following day.

On October 2, officers responded to two more attempted carjackings in the area of Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West. In the first incident, a man returning to his 2025 Hyundai Tucson was confronted by two suspects armed with scissors, who tried to stab him while demanding his keys. The victim managed to lock himself in his vehicle, forcing the suspects to flee.

A short time later, the same suspects allegedly targeted another man returning to his 2025 Nissan Sentra. Police say the suspects demanded his keys, then threw him to the ground and kicked him when he resisted. They ultimately failed to steal the vehicle and fled the scene. All three victims sustained minor injuries.

Uniformed officers from 11 Division, with assistance from the K9 Unit, quickly responded to the area. Both suspects were tracked down and arrested in the backyard of a nearby home.

A 16-year-old youth has been charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence, and three counts of failing to comply with a sentence or disposition. Due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identity of the young person cannot be released.

18 year-old Raheem McNish of Brampton faces two counts of robbery, two counts of wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence, and two counts of failing to comply with a sentence or disposition.

Both accused were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.
