Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a break-and-enter, theft, and uttering threats investigation.
Officers were called to the Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue area on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, after a report of a break and enter at a condominium building.
Police allege that on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., the suspect gained entry into the building’s underground parking garage, accessed a parked vehicle and several storage lockers, and stole property. Investigators say a resident confronted the suspect, who allegedly uttered threats before fleeing the scene.
Ryan Russell, 27, of Toronto, is wanted on charges of break and enter and commit dwelling house, theft under $5,000, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and two counts of breach of probation.
Russell is described as approximately six feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with a slim build, fair complexion, short red hair, and a red beard. Police say he is known to frequent Toronto’s downtown core.
