The Toronto Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a break-and-enter investigation in the city’s east end.
Police say officers responded to a call on the morning of Wednesday, March 18, at approximately 8 a.m., in the area of Eastern Avenue and Leslie Street.
According to investigators, the incident occurred the previous night, Tuesday, March 17, at around 10 p.m., when an unknown suspect allegedly forced entry into a local business. Once inside, the individual reportedly damaged a cash register and stole money. The suspect also took a debit machine before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a blue hooded jacket, dark pants, and black running shoes with white soles. Police have released an image of the suspect in an effort to identify him.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the suspect’s identity to come forward. Tips can be provided directly to police at 416-808-5500.
