Toronto Police Service is investigating after a man was shot during an early-morning home invasion in Toronto on Wednesday.
Police say the incident happened at around 2:15 a.m. near Glencairn Avenue and Avenue Road. According to reports, a group of male suspects forced their way into a residence in the area.
During the confrontation, one of the suspects shot an occupant of the home. The suspects then fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No suspect description has been released.
Investigators are investigating the incident. Police are asking anyone with information to contact police.
