The Toronto Police Service says a 38-year-old Toronto man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault investigation in the city’s west end.
Police say the incident occurred on Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., in the area of Kipling Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West. Officers were called to the area after receiving a report of “a suspicious incident”.
According to investigators, the victim was waiting for a Toronto Transit Commission bus when she noticed a man approaching her. Police allege that the man then sexually assaulted the victim. A bystander intervened, prompting the suspect to cross the street and leave the area.
Through the investigation, police were able to identify the accused.
On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Terrance James Noonan, 38, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with sexual assault and fail to subsequently attend court.
Police say they believe there may be additional victims and have released an image of the accused as part of the ongoing investigation.
