York Regional Police have charged a 66-year-old Toronto man in connection with an alleged indecent act at a community centre in Markham.
Police say that on December 5, 2025, at approximately 6 p.m., officers received a report of a man allegedly hiding behind different garbage cans and engaging in an indecent act in the main hallway at Milliken Mills Community Centre. The man fled the area before police arrived.
Two days later, on December 7, police were called back to the community centre after being informed that the same individual had returned. Officers located the suspect at the scene and took him into custody. Vahid Hossein-Nia, 66, of Toronto, has been charged for indecent act.
Investigators believe the accused regularly frequented the community centre and have released his image, as they suspect there may be additional unreported incidents. Anyone with information related to this investigation is urged to contact the York Regional Police 5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7541. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online.
