Toronto police have arrested and charged a dentist in connection with a sexual assault investigation in the Finch Avenue East and Kennedy Road area.
According to the Toronto Police Service, the alleged incident occurred on Saturday, October 18, 2025, when a 21-year-old woman was receiving treatment at a dental office in the area. Police allege the dentist sexually assaulted the patient during the appointment.
Investigators say the accused turned himself in to police on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Muthuckumaru Illango, 66, of Toronto, has been charged with one count of sexual assault. Police confirm he is a dentist and operates under the name “Dr. Illango and Associates.”
Illango is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 22, 2026.
Police say they believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
