Toronto Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with an armed robbery incident that took place on July 13, 2025, near Jane Street and Finch Avenue West.
According to investigators, the incident occurred during a social media-arranged transaction. The victim had arranged to meet the suspects through a social media platform to complete a purchase. Upon meeting, the suspects assaulted the victim and stole their belongings. The victim sustained minor injuries during the attack. Police officers quickly located the suspects nearby and arrested them.
Officers recovered a loaded handgun with a seven-round magazine from one of the youths. Following a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in North York, police also seized an extended magazine containing 10 rounds.
The three accused are Toronto residents aged 15, 16, and 17.
The 15-year-old is facing multiple serious charges, including:
- Robbery
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon
- two counts of Possession of Prohibited Ammunition Knowing No Authority
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- two counts of Use Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device
- Fail to Comply Release Order
The 16-year-old and 17-year-old are both charged with robbery.
All three are scheduled to appear in Court Room 606 at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on July 15, 2025.
