Richmond Hill Man faces additional voyeurism charges

York Regional Police have laid additional voyeurism charges against a Richmond Hill man following a series of incidents that began in 2024 and continued into 2025. 

Investigators say the suspect, identified as Adam Russo, 41, was first charged in October 2024 after allegedly using a hidden camera to record women at a shopping centre near Yonge Street and 16th Avenue in Richmond Hill. The incidents reportedly took place on June 15 and September 7, 2024. Russo was arrested On Wednesday, October 2, 2024 after returning to the same location. He was charged with two counts of Voyeurism and was released with several conditions. 

The investigation remained active, and on July 31, 2025, loss prevention staff at a store near McCowan Road and Bullock Drive in Markham recognized Russo as someone previously known for recording customers. He was followed to another store near Highway 7 East and Kennedy Road, where he was allegedly seen using his cellphone to film under a woman’s skirt. Police were called and arrested him on-site. 

Detectives later uncovered another similar incident on July 23, 2025, at the same McCowan Road store, involving a different female victim. 

Russo now faces the following charges: 

  • Voyeurism (×3) 
  • Resist Arrest 
  • Fail to Comply with Judicial Release Order
