Police seek two women in $13,000 Toronto retail theft

The Toronto Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance in locating two women wanted in connection with a high-value theft investigation. 

The incident took place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, around 1:30 p.m. at a retail store near Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue. According to police, the two suspects entered the store and distracted an employee, during which time they allegedly stole merchandise valued at approximately $13,000. 

Investigators have since identified the suspects as 55-year-old Veta Caldarar and 35-year-old Flori Ciurar, both of Toronto. 

Veta Caldarar is wanted for Theft Over $5,000, Failing to Comply with an Undertaking, and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. She is described as 5’4” tall, with a large build and black hair. 

Flori Ciurar is wanted for Theft Over $5,000 and Failing to Comply with an Undertaking. She is described as 5’0” tall, with a medium build and black hair.
