Mississauga, ON – Peel Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 38-year-old Mezhgan, who has been missing from Mississauga since September 2022.
According to investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau, Mezhgan was last seen by her family in Mississauga nearly two years ago. Since then, there has been no contact, which has raised serious concerns for her well-being.
Mezhgan is described as a Middle Eastern woman, approximately 5’2″ tall, with a medium build and straight long black hair. While she was last seen in Mississauga, she is also believed to have ties to the Ottawa area.
Police say her disappearance is especially troubling because the majority of her family members reside in Afghanistan and have not heard from her since she was last seen in 2022.
Investigators are urging anyone with information about Mezhgan’s whereabouts to contact the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453–2121, ext. 1233. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
Police and family members continue to hope for information that can help bring Mezhgan home safely.
