Police seek assistance in locating person of interest after suspicious incident at a subway station

Toronto Police Service is asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in investigation into a suspicious incident. 

Police said that on Sunday, December 28, at around 6:30 a.m., a victim was approached by the man on a platform at Kennedy Subway Station. The suspect allegedly attempted to set the victim’s jacket on fire. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. 

The suspect then fled the scene. Police describe the individual as being between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey pants, and black running shoes, and was carrying a red bag. 

Images of the man have been released to the public.
