Durham police are searching for a 50-year-old Clarington man following a reported sexual assault in Oshawa on Tuesday night.
Officers from Central West Division responded around 9:40 p.m. to the area of Adelaide Avenue and Thornton Road after receiving a call regarding the incident. Police say the suspect, who is known to the victim, went to the residence and asked to park his vehicle on the property. He then requested to use the washroom inside the home.
Once inside, the suspect allegedly physically assaulted the victim and exposed himself. The victim managed to escape and call police. The suspect fled in a silver sedan before officers arrived.
Police have identified the suspect as Daniel Robert Watson, 50, of Clarington. He is wanted on several charges, including assault, assault by choking, sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, and unlawfully being in a dwelling.

Police are urging the public not to approach Watson if seen. Instead, anyone with information is asked to contact the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1805.
