Police release image of suspect wanted  in East-End stabbing investigation

The Toronto Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing investigation in the city’s east end. 

Officers were called to the area of Danforth Avenue and Carlaw Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, following reports of a stabbing. 

According to investigators, the victim was approached by an unknown male suspect. A brief physical altercation occurred, during which the victim was stabbed. The victim was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. 

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot, last seen travelling northbound on Carlaw Avenue. 

The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, about six feet tall, with a medium build. He has black hair worn in a top bun and a short black beard.  

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black winter jacket, black jeans, black sneakers, a grey scarf, glasses, and carrying a black satchel. 

An image of the suspect has been released as part of the ongoing investigation.
