Police identify second suspect in Brampton homicide, issue Canada-wide warrant

Peel Regional Police have identified a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in Brampton and are actively searching for him. 

Investigators from the Homicide Bureau say 29-year-old Manpreet Singh, of no fixed address, is wanted on a Canada-Wide Warrant for First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder with a Firearm 

The charges stem from a shooting that occurred on Aug. 19, 2025, at a residence near Castlemore Road and Humberwest Parkway. Police allege two suspects entered the home and shot two individuals. One victim died, while the second suffered gunshot wounds and was later treated and released. 

In October 2025, 24-year-old Dilpreet Singh of Brampton was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder in relation to the same incident. 

Police describe Manpreet Singh as 5’10” with a medium build, straight black hair, brown eyes and a full beard. He also has a tattoo on his right forearm that reads “Manna (heart symbol) Sukh.” 

Investigators warn that Manpreet Singh may be armed and dangerous. Members of the public are urged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
