Peel Regional Police have dismantled an organized auto theft group and recovered 13 stolen vehicles with an estimated total value exceeding $800,000. The investigation began in October 2025 after police identified a group believed to be connected to multiple stolen vehicles across the region. The probe concluded in March 2026 after officers executed search warrants at two residences in Mississauga, leading to the recovery of the vehicles.

As a result of the investigation, two brothers from Mississauga; Sulman Dar, 28, and Shahroz Dar, 24 , have been arrested and collectively face 55 criminal charges.

Sulman Dar has been charged with multiple counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with a Release Order. Shahroz Dar faces charges including Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Fail to Comply with a Release Order. Both accused remain in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.

Police say the two suspects were already subject to court-imposed release orders related to previous robbery and property-related offences at the time of their arrest.

According to Peel Regional Police, auto theft incidents in the region have decreased by approximately 15 percent so far in 2026.

Investigators are asking anyone with information related to this case to contact the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau or Peel Crime Stoppers.
