The enforcement action was the result of Project Bengal, a four-month investigation into drug trafficking and retail theft.
The investigation was launched after community complaints about suspected drug activity in the Meadowvale area.
CIRT investigators uncovered an organized crime group allegedly involved in trafficking illicit drugs while also targeting commercial retail outlets The group was allegedly stealing high-demand baby products—such as baby formula and vitamins—from local retailers and trading them for drugs.
