Peel police are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian in Brampton on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:32 p.m. on Mississauga Road, north of Williams Parkway. Police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
Investigators confirmed that the driver remained at the scene. No further details have been released about the circumstances leading up to the collision.
As a result of the investigation, Mississauga Road northbound is closed at Williams Parkway. Drivers are being advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
