Pedestrian killed in early-morning collision on Hamilton’s LINC

The Hamilton Police Service is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC) in Hamilton Thursday morning. 

Emergency crews were called to the westbound lanes near the Garth Street overpass at approximately 6:52 a.m. following reports that a pedestrian had been struck. 

 Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say the identity of the deceased is not being released at this time as next-of-kin notifications are ongoing. 

Investigators are appealing to anyone who was travelling westbound on the LINC between Upper James Street and Garth Street from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and may have dash camera footage or information to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753. Or contact Crime Stoppers Hamilton at 1-800-222-8477 .
