Ontario – The Ontario government has announced an investment of $2.2 million to strengthen and improve inclusive spaces for all residents. Through the Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone (EASE) Grant, eligible projects can receive up to $60,000 in funding.
“With the launch of the EASE Grant, we are taking action to ensure more seniors and people with disabilities can participate fully in their communities,” said Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility.
These grants will be available to municipalities, non-profit organizations, and Indigenous governing bodies to enhance accessibility for seniors and individuals with special needs.
Examples of eligible initiatives include charging stations for mobility devices, mobility mats on beaches, and accessible washrooms in parks. These efforts aim to ensure that everyone can participate freely in community life.
To support and protect seniors, the Ontario government is making a record investment in community programs and Seniors Active Living Centres (SALCs). This includes an additional $1 million to enhance services for senior veterans and expand SALCs to over 400 locations, helping older adults stay healthy, active, and socially connected in their communities.
Applications for the EASE Grants are now open. Eligible organizations can submit their applications through Ontario.ca/Get Funding by August 14, 2025.
