An early-morning theft involving luxury vehicles has been reported at a car dealership in Oakville, with losses estimated at nearly $2 million.
According to Halton Regional Police, the incident occurred at the Lockwood Leasing dealership near the Queen Elizabeth Way and Fourth Line. At approximately 3:35 a.m. on Sunday, suspects smashed the front window of the dealership to gain entry.
Police believe up to eight suspects entered the building, accessed a lockbox containing vehicle keys, and fled the scene driving away multiple high-end vehicles.
The stolen vehicles included one Ferrari, two Porsche models, three Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and two BMWs. The business was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
Investigators say that a Ferrari, one Mercedes-Benz, and one BMW were later recovered from an area within the Greater Toronto Area. No arrests have been made at this time.
Suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and face coverings. The investigation remains ongoing.
