Low-income seniors who took CERB or CRB are facing significant cuts or a complete loss of their Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS). Many such seniors are on the brink of being homeless and fear being rendered incapable of paying for their medication bills. Post the first NDP caucus meet after the Federal Elections, Health Critic and NDP MP Rachel Blaney speaks with Red FM’s Prabhjot Sohal and explains how this decision of the Federal Liberal government is hitting the most vulnerable seniors, many of whom are women. MP Blaney says that the NDP plans to continue its pressure on the government to take this decision back.
