Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a suspended driver who fled from a traffic stop in Mississauga and is now facing several charges.

In a news release, police shared that on November 28, at around 1 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Britannia Road and Millcreek Drive as part of the 2025 Seasonal Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) Campaign, due to suspected impairment. While speaking with the driver, officers detected the smell of alcohol and asked the driver to provide a breath sample using a roadside breathalyzer device. At that point, the driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Police say the driver was located a short time later. As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Mississauga resident Blair Titterson was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, operating a vehicle while prohibited, and refuse to comply with a breath demand. Investigators also learned that the man was subject to a lifetime driving ban due to previous driving-related convictions.
