Missisauga man charged in human trafficking investigation

A Mississauga man has been arrested and charged following a human trafficking investigation by the Vice and Human Trafficking Unit. 

Investigators allege that in November 2025, the suspect exploited and trafficked a woman involved in the sex trade across the Greater Toronto Area. Police say the accused used coercion, manipulation, and physical violence to control the victim while financially benefiting from the exploitation. 

On December 18, 2025, 25-year-old Hasan Ahmed, also known as Hassan, was arrested and charged with several Criminal Code offences, including: 

Trafficking in Persons 

Exercising Control 

Material Benefit – Sexual Services 

Procuring 

Advertising Sexual Services 

Receiving a Benefit Resulting from Trafficking in Persons 

Assault 

Ahmed was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
