Police in New Westminster are appealing to the public for help in locating a missing man who may have traveled across the country. Authorities believe 28-year-old Nishan Singh, who was last seen in British Columbia, may now be in Brampton, Ontario.
Singh was last spotted on June 26 in the Queensborough area of New Westminster, a waterfront neighborhood. Since then, investigators have been working tirelessly to track his movements and have recently received information that suggests he could be in the Brampton area.
Singh is described as a South Asian male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds (66 kilograms). At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing:
- A navy blue turban
- A black and white letterman-style jacket
- A white T-shirt
- He was also carrying a bag
Police believe Nishan may be using public transit to get around and are urging residents in Brampton and the Greater Toronto Area to remain vigilant.
“We are concerned for Nishan’s well-being and are asking anyone who may have seen him or has information about his whereabouts to come forward,” said a spokesperson from the New Westminster Police Department.
Authorities are requesting that anyone who spots Nishan Singh immediately contact 911. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through local Crime Stoppers programs.
