Math tutor, 63, charged in sexual assault of minor in Richmond Hill

A 63-year-old math tutor from Richmond Hill has been charged following a York Regional Police investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a minor. 

Police say the victim, who is under the age of 16, reported on November 12, 2025, that the tutor had touched them for a sexual purpose during lessons on multiple occasions between September 2022 and October 2025. 

The following day, on November 13, 2025, investigators arrested the suspect, identified as Kevin Ng, 63, of Richmond Hill. He was charged with, Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference.  

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and have released the suspect’s photo in hopes that others who may have been affected will come forward.
