Man in his 20s injured in early-morning shooting near Yonge and Eglinton

Police in Toronto are investigating after a man in his 20s was injured in a shooting early Friday morning near Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. 

According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded to reports of gunshots at around 1:47 a.m. in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue. 

Investigators said officers located shell casings and blood at the scene. An adult male in his 20s arrived at a nearby hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say his injuries are non-life-threatening. 

There were some road closures in the area for investigation. Police later confirmed that all roads in the area have since reopened. 

Investigators have not released any information about possible suspects, and the suspect or suspects remain outstanding. The investigation is ongoing.
