A man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Toronto during the morning rush hour.

The crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Melrose Avenue, where police say airbags deployed in both vehicles. Emergency crews responded quickly, and the injured male driver was transported to hospital for treatment.

The collision forced the closure of Bathurst Street at Melrose Avenue. Motorists were urged to use alternate routes while investigators worked at the scene.

Police have not released further details, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
