The Toronto Police Service has arrested a 22-year-old male suspect following a stabbing incident at a busy downtown transit station.
Officers were called to Bloor-Yonge Subway Station, near Bloor Street East and Yonge Street, at approximately 10:54 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Police say a man was found with injuries after an altercation involving a knife. The 43-year-old victim suffered a stab wound that was not considered life-threatening. The suspect was located at the scene and taken into custody.
Both the victim and the suspect were transported to hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators have identified the suspect as Aaron Hanson, 22, of Toronto. He faces several charges, including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Hanson was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Finch Avenue West on Tuesday morning.
