Man arrested in High Park sexual assault case, police seek additional victims

Toronto Police have arrested a man in connection with sexual assault incident that took place in High Park on   June 4, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m. At that time, a woman was walking along a path in High Park when an unknown man approached her from behind, grabbed her, and dragged her into a wooded area, where she was sexually assaulted. 

The woman managed to escape and flagged down a passerby for help. That person called the police, but the suspect fled the scene before the officers arrived. The woman sustained minor injuries. 

In a news release issued today, police announced that on July 2, 2025, 35-year-old Toronto resident Cortny Henry was arrested in connection with the case. He is facing several serious charges, including: 

  • Overcoming resistance by choking 
  • Sexual assault causing bodily harm 
  • Uttering threats 
  • Forcible confinement 
  • Robbery 
  • Breach of probation 
  • Possession of a controlled substance 

Henry appeared at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on the morning of July 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
