London police in Ontario investigate fatal shooting on Sunday morning

The London Police Service is asking for the public’s help following a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning. 

Police say the shooting took place in the 700 block of Dundas Street shortly before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Officers responded to the incident after receiving a 911 call reporting the sound of gunfire in the area. 

When police arrived, they located two male victims. Both were taken to hospital for treatment. One victim has since died, while the second victim remains hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation has now been taken over by the Major Crime Section. 

Police are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who was in the area of Dundas Street near Hewitt Street between 3:30 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, and who may have dash-cam footage, residential video, or business surveillance recordings during this period, is urged to contact the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670.
