Kitchener man wanted in a firearm and drug investigation

Toronto Police Service is seeking public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in a firearm and drug investigation.  

Toronto Police Service say that at around 1:45 a.m. on September 21, 2025, officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of King Street West and Portland Street. The vehicle fled the scene and struck four other vehicles during its escape. After the collisions, both the driver and a passenger abandoned the vehicle ran away on foot. 

Following a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested the driver. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a loaded handgun, approximately $5,000 in cash, and a quantity oxycodone and codeine in the vehicle. 

The driver, identified as 33-year-old Hanad Aden of Toronto, was charged with numerous offences, including dangerous operation, failing to remain at the scene of a collision, leaving the scene causing bodily harm, and multiple firearms-related charges, including possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, careless storage of ammunition, and possession of a firearm while prohibited. 

Aden appeared in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 10 a.m., in courtroom 105. 

Police have identified the passenger as 31-year-old Suleyman Mohaidin of Kitchener, Ontario, who remains wanted. He is wanted on several charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm or prohibited device, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number, possession of counterfeit money, and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. 

Mohaidin is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with black hair. Police have released an image of the suspect and are warning the public not to approach him, if seen anywhere, as he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.
