Peel Police say their Strategic and Tactical Enforcement Policing (STEP) Unit has taken several illegal guns off the streets and laid a number of criminal charges after recent investigations in Mississauga.
Between September 19 and 21, 2025, officers carried out traffic stops near Mid-Way Boulevard and Dixie Road, and around Silver Creek Boulevard and Cawthra Road. In four separate stops, occupants of vehicles were found breaking the Cannabis Control Act and/or Liquor Licence and Control Act. Further searches uncovered an illegal firearm in each vehicle.
The following individuals were arrested and charged with multiple firearm-related offences:
Revi Kumar, 28, Toronto
Dena Jokhu, 27, Ajax
Angelinah Nicholson, 20, Brampton
David Campbell, 20, Brampton
Sean Jackson, 48, Toronto
In another case, a 29-year-old motorcyclist tried to run from police after committing a traffic offence. Officers caught him and discovered he had a loaded firearm and was breaching a probation order. He has been identified as Nathan Davis of Toronto.
All six accused were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the STEP Unit at 905-453-2121, ext. 3515, or reach out to Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
