Toronto, ON – Some Ontario drivers are now able to use Highway 407 for free during peak hours, thanks to a new promotion from 407 ETR.

The toll road operator says the initiative is part of its ongoing effort to reduce congestion on alternate routes by offering personalized driving promotions. Millions of customers were contacted this year with targeted offers, though drivers cannot apply directly.

Instead, those with a My Account who keep their contact information, licence plate, and email address up to date—and are subscribed to marketing messages—may be selected.

“We offer personalized offers tailored to each customer’s unique driving habits to help alleviate congestion on alternate routes when they are busiest,” 407 ETR said in a statement.

The current promotion runs from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, 2025. Eligible personal vehicles with Ontario plates can travel toll-free on Highway 407 ETR during weekday rush hours (7 a.m.–9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.), excluding statutory holidays.

The discount appears on drivers’ bills as a credit, covering tolls, camera charges, and account fees during the promotional period. However, transponder lease fees still apply, and credits for trips close to billing dates may appear on the following statement.

The offer is non-transferable and applies across the full stretch of Highway 407 ETR.
