The Hamilton Police Service is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect linked to a series of recent residential break-and-enter incidents in the city’s east mountain area. 

Police said in a news release today that the incidents occurred within a residential neighbourhood, where the suspect was seen ringing doorbells before forcing entry;believed to be an attempt to determine whether anyone was home. Once inside, the individual allegedly targeted jewelry and electronic items. 

The suspect is described as a male of medium build, wearing dark clothing with his face partially concealed. He was captured on residential surveillance video, and investigators have released the footage as well. 

Police are reminding residents to keep doors and windows secured at all times and to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhood.
