A 31-year-old woman from London, Ontario, Daniela Young, is wanted in connection with a firearms investigation after a weapon was recovered from a downtown Toronto hotel. Meanwhile, a 30-year-old Mississauga man, Malek El Sayah, is facing several serious charges.
According to Toronto police, ,officers responded around 3 p.m. on Sunday on Sunday, March 22, 2026 to a report of a suspicious incident at a hotel near King Street West and Blue Jays Way,. During the investigation, police say a handgun was discovered inside a hotel in the area.
Malek El Sayah was arrested and charged with multiple firearm-related offences, possession of proceeds of crime exceeding $5,000, and three counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. He was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on March 23.
Meanwhile, investigators have issued a warrant for 31-year-old Daniela Young of London, Ontario. She is wanted on several firearms-related offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a firearm while prohibited, and possession of an over-capacity magazine without authorization. Police have released her image as they continue efforts to locate her.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the case or Young’s whereabouts to contact Toronto police or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
