Four people were injured, including two critically, following what police describe as an alleged family-related incident on Monday night in North York.
According to the Toronto Police Service, officers were called to the area of Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West at approximately 9:44 p.m. for reports of an unknown disturbance.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located several individuals suffering from injuries. Police said three of the victims had stab wounds.
Four people were found injured at the scene and transported to hospital. Of those, two sustained non-life threatening injuries while two others remain in serious condition. A fifth individual was taken to hospital as a precaution for assessment.
Police have taken one person into custody who has been identified as a man in his 50s. In an update, investigators confirmed that all of the victims were known to each other.
The investigation remains ongoing.
