Brampton, ON – Peel Regional Police say two loaded handguns, drugs, and cash were seized following a series of search warrants carried out in Brampton and Mississauga last week.
The investigation stems from a June 7 shooting on Rambler Drive in Brampton. On Thursday, Aug. 21, investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau executed two residential search warrants and one vehicle search warrant.
Police say the searches led to the seizure of two 9mm Glock 43X handguns with loaded magazines, a quantity of drugs, cash, and a re-vinned SUV.
Two Brampton men are now facing charges.
Sandeep Singh, 30, has been charged with:
- Discharging a firearm in a reckless manner
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of an altered serial number
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a controlled substance
Vikramjeet Maingi, 24, has been charged with:
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of an altered serial number
