A man is dead and another seriously injured following a shooting inside a Brampton residence Tuesday night.
Peel Regional Police said officers were called to a home on Bayhampton Drive, near Humberwest Parkway and Castlemore Road, shortly before 8:40 p.m. for reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, though no descriptions have been released. Police believe the attack was targeted.
The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
