A traveller from Jamaica was taken into custody this week after Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) intercepted a daring smuggling operation involving cans of processed cheese.

During a routine inspection, officers discovered roughly 18 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside the cans. The drugs are valued at more than $2 million on the street.

The CBSA later posted photos of the altered packaging on its social media channels.
