The City of Brampton’s Experience Brampton department has issued an alert warning vendors to be cautious of fraudulent messages and individuals requesting vendor payments for city events.

According to the notice, scammers have recently targeted vendors from the Mount Pleasant Night Market and the Brampton Farmers’ Market.

“The City of Brampton only accepts vendor payments through official City platforms, and only after your application has been approved via events@brampton.ca,” the warning states. “Always verify on the official City website before providing any payment or personal information.”

The Mount Pleasant Night Market runs every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Village Square, 100 Commuter Drive. The event features food and market vendors, children’s activities, and family-friendly entertainment, and will continue until the end of August.
